And this is where the writing starts to get complicated.

Aidyn is one of those RPGs that gives you dialogue options. Sometimes you're able to explore them all, or reinitiate a conversation to try a different route. In many others, you're stuck with what you chose and will have to reload (or replay) to see what else can be said.

For this story, I'm lucky enough to have exhumed all the game's dialogue files, so I can weave these conversations into whatever I think works best. We won't be covering every scrap of dialogue, but you sure won't miss anything interesting!

I really like how Oriana is turning out. She's a very humble and wise person. She's more than willing to admit when she's at her limits. I like her for that. It's sad that Kendall's gone though.

Rest in peace, Kendall A. McGuffin.

RIP Kendall. May he rest in piece near the top of this comics Kill Count. Also I have decided that when I do a Kill Count for something I am going to wait until it is completed and I have read it all so I don't run into a situation where it all but confirms they are dead but then in a few chapters it turns out they are alive. Also Oriana is absolutely correct. Even the smallest of spells can be very useful. I mean just look at Expelliarmus. It's one of the very first spells you learn in the Harry Potter universe yet it can make the most powerful which or wizard as powerless as a Muggle. (A normal non-magical person)

You'll be waiting a long time, then. You could always just revise the list for those times when they turn out not to be dead, which aren't that common anyway.

Incidentally, Kendall is definitely dead.

Well I mean just in general. It is mostly for if I ever did a kill count for a long running comic that has hundreds of chapters (I am thinking about doing one for Invincible eventually.) But for some comics like this one that don't have many pages and are being updated live. I would probably just update the list as new ones come out. Also was the spirit we saw earlier Kendall?

God help me if I ever make a series with hundreds of chapters. I divided this one into 12.

Nah, it's not that kind of spirit. No trace of Kendall is ever seen in the game except his hat.

Yeah I'm pretty sure Invincible is currently at 145 chapters.

Ok. Also I think for the cause section of the kill counts I am going to do an in universe explanation. So near the beginning of Spelukying: The Colossal Cave after Hero gets hits by the Arrow Trap and falls onto the Snake the game would count that as his kill but in universe he didn't kill it. His falling body killed it. I guess some people could argue that that would count as him killing it even though he didn't intentionally kill it. Oh well I will figure it out later. Looking forward to seeing what happens next. I hope Alaron can get the poison out before he dies. Actually is it that kind of poison? Oriana makes it sound like it isn't your normal kind of poison. So does it not kill? Either way I'm sure as the story unfolds I will discover it in due time. (This is probably the longest comment I have ever written)

In a way, the poison is just as bad a McGuffin as Kendall. It's there, but its impact on the story doesn't extend beyond getting this quest started. It's kind of a missed opportunity, honestly.

So what your saying is that some super specific poison had the same amount of usefulness as a farmer? I think whoever bought that poison should ask for a refund.

The goblins made it themselves. It was bound to be crappy.

Yeah. They really should have pooled their funds and bought something made by someone who knows what they are doing. Heck, lacing their weapons with their excrement would have been more effective than whatever they used.
